Thiruvananthapuram: Theeighth Trivandrum Sahodaya Complex Youth Festival for students of schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) namely Drisyotsav-2010, will commence from September 16, 2010, in Kerala. It will be organized at the MGM Model School in Varkala.
As per sources, about 3,000 students from over 50 schools are expected to compete for the top honors at the event that will be held for CBSE schools in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Kanyakumari districts of Kerala.
On Monday i.e. on September 13, 2010, in a press conference the organizing committee for the event has said that the event will be inaugurated by the Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy. Also, eminent guests who would be attending the event would include actor Sarath and MLA Varkala Kahar.
The function would be presided over by Sahodaya Complex president K.M. Mathew. Moreover, the prizes to winners on the final day of the valedictory function will be given away by actor Kollam Thulasi.
