Everonn Introduces ‘Edupreneur’

Mumbai: Everonn education, a company offering satellite-enabled learning solutions, has embarked on a project namely ‘Edupreneur’. It is being launched with an aim to promote people with entrepreneurial skills onto education. As per sources, the announcement the company made this announcement on December 9, 2010.

According to a statement issued by Everonn, with this, the company aims to promote Business Leaders who will turn into 'Ambassadors of Learning' to spread education with a missionary zeal as the nation witnesses an unprecedented boom in the sector.

P Kishore, Founder and Managing Director of Everonn Education Limited, said that as India grows to be an economic super power, there is bound to be a quantum growth in the field of education and the need to acquire industry relevant skills to be able to effectively face intense global competition.

As per sources, Everonn will use a combination of tools from the brick and mortar format to technology platforms for delivering content for which the VSAT network will form the backbone. Besides, all Edupreneurs will go through an Education Management Program developed in association with a leading University in south India, to ensure uniformity in implementing the project.

In addition, the Government has given a high priority to education in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan as a central instrument for achieving rapid and inclusive growth with precise importance on growth, quality and equity. The Plan allotment for the domain has also been noticeably hiked from 7.7pc to 20pc, which translates into an investment of a whopping Rs 3 trillion.
