Visakhapatnam: This year the placement session at the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) University, concluded on a positive note. Around 610 students of the GITAM University have received placements from many reputed companies on Monday i. e. April 12, 2010.
According to the sources, the placement orders were handed at the university's Achiever's Day by M.V.V.S. Murthi, President of the GITAM University to students of engineering, B. Pharmacy, sciences, MCA, Management and International Business courses.
Dr. Murthy has termed it as a unique feat, and said that he hopes the university placements would improve in the coming years and that they would be able to provide placements to all students at the university.
Furthermore, GITAM University has previously signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with top notch companies such as ICBI, HDFC, Bank of Baroda, HSBC, ICICI etc. so that their students can receive the best placements.
