New Delhi: Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) invites applications for admission into the Company Secretaries (CS) Foundation Programme, offered in the upcoming session 2010. ICSI is a leading national professional body, which imparts education mainly through distance learning, along with provision for optional oral coaching classes.
Students, who have passed their XII examination from any stream, excluding Fine Arts, are considered to be eligible for the programme. In an official press release, it was announced that students enrolling until March 31, 2010 will be eligible for examination in December 2010. Interested candidates can obtain the prospectus and application form for CS Foundation Programme, on cash payment of Rs 200 at C-37, Sector-62, Noida or from ICSI-NIRC Building, Plot No. 4, Prasad Nagar Institutional Area, Rajendra Place, New Delhi. The prospectus can also be received by a registered post by sending a Demand Draft / Postal Order for Rs 250, favoring 'The Institute of Company Secretaries of India' through any of the 73 Offices of the ICSI spread all over India.
Admission to the CS Course is open throughout the year. After qualifying the Foundation Programme, students are required to clear the Executive and Professional Examination and undergo Practical Training to become qualified Company Secretaries.
