Bangalore: On Monday i.e. on April 26,Karnataka StateChief Minister (CM) B S Yeddyurappa has made the announcement that the proposed second campus of Indian Institute of Science would come up in Chitradurga district of Karnataka as planned.
As per sources, the announcement was made by the State’s CM on the sideline of a Police Investiture Ceremony. In addition, he mentioned that the district administration has already granted nearly 2,000 acres (at Kudapur village in the district) for it.
Furthermore, he also denied recent media reports that the proposed campus of the Bangalore-based premier institute was being shifted to Andhra Pradesh. He also added that the IISC campus is very much coming up in Chitradurga.
