Himachal Pradesh: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi is a new member in the league of the elite technological schools of India. IIT Mandi has been registered as a Society on June 20, 2009. The first session of IIT Mandi, Himachal Pradesh started from IIT Roorkee, which also plays the role of mentor for IIT Mandi. Initially, the new Institute has started three B Tech programmes in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering at IIT Roorkee Campus. The intake capacity in each branch is 40.
IIT Mandi, the only IIT in the Himachal Pradesh has declared its recruitment and has invited application for the following posts. Application Form can be downloaded from the website of the institute or obtained from the Registrar, IIT Mandi, C/o Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee- 247667 (Uttarakhand) by sending self addressed envelope of size 10” x 4”, stamped (Rs 10 or Rs. 27, if required by registered post). The last date for submitting the applications for the following posts is March 1, 2010.
