New Delhi: 'Impulse-2010' - the 5th Technical Festival of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University's (GGSIPUs) Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT) is going to start from tomorrow i.e. March 4, 2010. It is a three-day festival with the central theme 'Transcending Innovations', which means to think beyond the edge of perpetuity. Prof. Nupur Prakash, Principal of IGIT has said that the main highlight of this festival is 'Adopt a Plant' campaign. Moreover, a Microsoft convention will also be held on the occasion.
Further, in another development, the mechanical and automation department of the institute is also going to organize another festival 'Xebec', which will also start from tomorrow. The central theme of this three-day festival is 'Sustainability in Engineering'. As per sources, the festival will start with a grand cycle rally, which will be conducted in collaboration with 'Delhi Cycling Club'.
