New Delhi: Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Academy (IGRUA) has formalized a management contract with the global aviation giant CAE. As per sources, Ministry of Civil Aviation has invested capital in modernizing and enhancing the ageing squadron and infrastructure of IGRUA. The collaboration envisages in bringing international standardized modern methodology of aviation training, thereby upgrading the quality of training imparted to pilots and making it an integral part of CAE Global Academy.
IGRUA has now increased its annual intake from 45 to 100 students, within a period of 2 years. The academy has reduced its training period from more than 24 months to 18 months, with an aim to further reduce it to 15 months without compromising its quality and standards.
