Kapil Sibal Leaves for UK & Scotland for Educational Tie-Ups

New Delhi: On Wednesday i.e. January 13, 2010 Kapil Sibal, Union Minister of Human Resource Development (HRD) left for UK and Scotland for educational tie-ups. The signing ceremony of the joint statement between MHRD, India and Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, UK would take place on the same day itself.
 
As per sources, Mr Sibal would be there until January 16, 2010. Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) between IIT-R, India and Glasgow Research Partnership in Engineering, UK; IISER, Pune, India and Southeast-India Partnership Network, UK would also be signed during this visit. 

Further, during his visit, he would be attending the Learning and Technology World Forum and the second UK-INDIA Education Forum. According to a press release from the MHRD, Sibal would hold talks with Lord Mandelson, British Secretary of State for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, and with Douglas Alexander, the British Secretary of State for Department for International Development, UK.
