Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan Soon To Be Launched in Chandigarh

Chandigarh: Shivraj Patil, Punjab Governor and Chandigarh administrator, said that the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan will soon be launched in Chandigarh. It will be launched with a purpose to make quality education easily affordable and accessible to children in the age group of 14 to 18 years in the union territory of Chandigarh.
 
As per sources, Mr Patil made the announcement during the Independence Day celebrations in the union territory at the Parade Ground in Sector 17 on Sunday I.e. August 15, 2010. Moreover, during the ceremony, he hoisted the national flag and also took the guard of honor at a parade. Mr Patil spoke at length about the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and martyrs to make India an independent country and also emphasized on the developmental initiative that have been taken up by the Chandigarh administration.
 
Furthermore, he also mentioned that the administration was laying special attention on the health and education sectors of the union territory.
