NIT Professor Conferred the Young Leaf Award

Trichy: National Institute of Technology (NIT), Trichy, Assistant Professor Chemistry, S Anandan, has been conferred with the Young Leaf Award which was instituted by Hiyoshi Corporation of Japan.
 
Recently, the award was presented in Chennai. Apart from Anandan, P K Bhattacharya of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur won the Think of Ecology Award and Dinesh Mohan of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, bagged the Environmental Award.
 
Mr Anandan is attached to Nanomaterials and Solar Energy Conversion Lab at the Chemistry Department of NIT. He has been engaged actively in research and training areas like environmental degradation of pollutants using solar energy and nanomaterials. In addition, Anandan has published more than 60 articles in internationally reputed journals and three chapters in books on environmental research.
