RPET 2010 Will See Increase in Number of Aspirants

Rajasthan: Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test 2010, also know as RPET, will now make the admission easier for the engineering aspirants of Rajasthan. This year, the number of candidates appearing the entrance test has increased compared to last year. RPET 2010 is scheduled to be held on May 20, 2010 (Thursday) from 09.00 am to 12.00 noon.
 
As per sources, around 73,500 applications have been received for the RPET this year, against the revised aggregate intake capacity of about 50,000 seats in all engineering colleges across Rajasthan. Last year, about 62,000 candidates had appeared for the engineering entrance examination. Two of every three students appearing for RPET 2010 will be able to secure a seat in one of the undergraduate technical education colleges in the state.
 
RPET 2010 is an entrance test conducted for admission to first year of undergraduate programmes leading to Bachelor’s degree in different disciplines of Engineering (BTech / BE) in various Govt. aided and Private unaided technical institutions of Rajasthan (except BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipur and other Deemed & Private Universities), offered in the academic session 2010-11.
