Scottish University to Set Up Indian Campus

New Delhi: SKIL Infrastructure Limited, a leading infrastructure company, in alliance with University of Strathclyde Business School, will establish a Business School (B-School) campus. As per sources, the campus will be established at Greater Noida in Delhi NCR. The campus will be the first Indian campus of the leading Scottish university, sources added.

Scotland's Enterprise Minister, Jim Mather, said that this new collaboration will help strengthen relations between Scotland and India - one of the world's fastest growing economies - and progress the education aims of the Scottish Government's India Plan. Further, he added that by expanding its reach into India, Strathclyde Business School is helping raise Scotland's business and executive education profile on the global stage.

Moreover, Mr. Mather added that he looks forward to seeing this partnership progressing. Nikhil Gandhi, Group Chairman of SKIL, said that the establishment of the Strathclyde Business School will contribute to the enhancement of skill sets and knowledge levels of Indian management students. As per sources, the Noida campus will commence in September 2011. The campus will offer undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and MBA level courses, sources added.

Jim McDonald, Vice-Chancellor, University of Strathclyde said that the New Delhi campus will widen access and give more Indian students the chance to study at Strathclyde Business School at a much lower cost than relocation to the UK. Sources informed that similar campuses are expected to be set up at Mumbai and Chennai later.
