SSC Tax Assistant Exam 2009 Result Announced

New Delhi: The Staff Section Commission (SSC) has declared the result of Tax Assistant Examination 2009, which was conducted for aspirants who want to serve as tax assistants in income tax and central excise. The Tax Assistant exam was held in different test centers across India, on December 13, 2009, with the exception of Andhra Pradesh and one center in Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh), where the re-examination was conducted on February 7, 2010.
 
According to a press release, as many as 840 candidates have been recommended for the appointment to the post of Tax Assistant, through this examination. An official from the Ministry of Personnel Public Grievances and Pensions told the reporters that 2152 candidates have qualified in the exam (held on December 13, 2009).
 
Out of the total candidates who appeared in the re-examination, which was held on February 7, 2010, as many as 22 candidates have made it to the written part of the examination, for appearing in the Skill Test in Data Entry Speed in Computer.
