Tamil Nadu Colleges Accredited With ‘A’ Grade by NAAC

Coimbatore: National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) team after a recent visit to colleges across the state of Tamil Nadu, has granted an 'A' grade to Sri Krishna Arts and Science College and Dr. G.R. Damodran College of Science. The accreditation has been given based on the report submitted by the visiting team.
 
In a press release, K. Sundararaman, Principal of Sri Krishna Arts and Science College said that the peer team of the NAAC assessed the quality standards of the colleges, and found it in tandem with the seven criteria prescribed by the council. The institute has, at present, student strength of 2800.
 
Further, according to D. Padamanabhan, Chairman and Correspondent of Dr. G.R. Damodaran College of Science, the college has secured a score of 3.18 out of 4 making it to be legible to be accredited with an 'A' grade from NAAC. Besides, a one year gestation period for initiating and completing the reaccreditation process, the reaccreditation would be valid for seven years. Presently, the student strength of the college is 2,660.
