Manipal: T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) has announced a postgraduate e-Governance course for middle and senior level executives from government, public and private sectors. It is one-year full time programme.
Dr Saji Gopinath, Director of the institute said that TAPMI is the only business school, which introduced such programme in India. The programme will certainly help government in its National e-Governance Plan, which has been started by the Government to make government departments a citizen-centric mode of working instead of department-centric mode of working.
The Institute will offer this PG programme in collaboration with National Institute for Smart Government (NISG), Hyderabad with support from the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and IT. Furthermore, the Chairperson added that the programme will help government sector candidates in learning IT, while the private sector candidates can understand how the government departments work in different circumstances.
The admissions for this PG programme (2010 -11 batch) will be closed on July 15, 2010.
