UGC NET 2010 Application Form Details

New Delhi: Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) will hold the Joint CISR UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) on June 20, 2010. Candidates desirous of taking up the test can apply either online or offline.
 
For online application, applicants are required to log into UGC’s official website: http://www.ugc.ac.in/. Thereafter, applicants must follow the instruction offered in the website. Candidates applying ONLINE are required to deposit the requisite examination fee through bank challan in any of the Indian bank branches throughout the country. In case of offline applications, there are two ways of obtaining the application forms – 1) Candidates can apply by downloading the application form from the website: http://www.csir.res.in/. 2) Candidate can also get the also application form available in the designated branches of Indian Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce (list and detailed address of the designated bank branch available in the website: http://www.csir.res.in/). Thereafter, the duly filled application form along with all the essential enclosures must be submitted to the Sr, Controller of Examination, Examination Unit, HRDG, CISR Complex, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi – 110012.
 
The Joint CISR UGC NET is conducted for determining the eligibility of the Indian national candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and for determining eligibility for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in certain subject areas falling under the faculty of Science. The award of Junior Research Fellowship (NET) to the successful eligible candidates will depend on their finding admission/placement in a university/national laboratory/institution of higher learning and research, as applicable.
