The Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh was set up in the year 1921 at Allahabad. The Board came into existence by an act of United Provinces Legislative Council. It conducted its first examination in 1923. Also, This Board is one in India which, from the very start, had adopted 10+2 system of examination. The Boards main objectives is regulating and supervising the system of High School and Intermediate Examination in the state.
