Established under the South Gujarat University Act, 1965, Vir Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) has been functioning as a university from the year 1966. It is located at Udhana-Magdalla road in Surat is a semi-urban university. It has received the University Grant Commission (UGC) approval in the year 1968.
VNSGU has been accredited with ‘B++’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore.
