Veta Plans To Come Up With 100 New Centers

Chennai: Veta - one of Asia's largest spoken English Training Academy plans to set up 100 new centres. It is all set to come up with the new centers this fiscal only as part of its aggressive expansion plans to capture key Indian markets.

Of the total 100 centers, 20 would be self-owned and the balance franchisee centres. The 20 Veta-owned centres would be established in the key markets of Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad, while franchisee centres would come up in strategic markets across the country.

Each centre would be set up with an expenditure of Rs 20 to 30 lakh, depending on the location, city and rental advance. With a total investment of Rs 22 crores for the expansion, Amoha Education Private Limited, which owns Veta, would invest Rs 6 crore and the remaining Rs 16 crore would be invested by the franchisees.

V Ganesh Ram, Veta Managing Director, said that they are sure this venture would be a success, since the domestic education learning market is poised for growth at a fast pace. Also, with this expansion plans, Veta is reassuring its commitment in providing quality spoken English training to the youngsters of the country.

Mr Ram also mentioned that a recent study conducted on the BPO industry showed alarming downslide in the quality of English speaking workforce in the voice-based BPO industry in the country, resulting in driving away of many IT companies, including the leading Indian companies in the sector to the Latin American countries.

In addition, he said that Veta, through its training centres, will aim at providing quality spoken English training to maximize the opportunities for the youngsters in the country and prove that theirs is a brand to reckon with. Moreover, with the English language gaining huge popularity in the smaller cities in the similar vein as in Tier I cities, this expansion will bring more youth who wish to polish their communication skills.
