New Delhi: Ambedkar University has announced its first cut-off list for admission into its various courses, offered in the upcoming session 2011. The University has offered an opportunity to those students who were unable grab seat into social science courses at Delhi University (DU) due to its high cut-off marks.
As per sources, being a state university, it reserves 85% of its seats for students from the National Capital Territory. This year, the cut-off percentage for all courses has witnessed a sharp increase, as the last year's cut-off percentage being 55%. The cut-off for English (honours) course is 74% and 79%, for Economics (honours) it is 75.75% to 80.75%. For sociology, the cut-off for students applying from Delhi is between 73 % and 78 %.
Moreover, the university is offering seven new undergraduate degree level courses, this year. The new courses will be available in English, Sociology and Mathematics. In case, the University decides to declare its second cut-off list, it will be on July 7, 2011.
