Manesar: Amity University has decided to build medical college in Manesar. As per Prof (Dr) RC Sharma, Vice-Chancellor of Amity University, the land has already been identified for constructing a hospital, which is a mandatory requirement for establishing a medical college. In his statement, he also focuses on studies and announced that the University will launch many study programmes in paramedics, architecture, law, hospitality, foreign languages, fashion technology and fine arts and many other courses.
He said that, originally Amity Business School had been started with 40 students in 1999, which had now grown into a full-fledged university spread over 110 acres and having strength of nearly 700. He also added that University was offering many undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in various branches of science, technology, biotechnology, commerce, management and journalism and mass communication.
As per sources, formerly, the Vice-Chancellor has inaugurated Ignition-2011. It was the very first technical fest which was a joint collaboration of Amity School of Engineering & Technology and Amity Institute of Biotechnology of the University. It focused on generating awareness about the latest discoveries and their underlying principles. Nearly 150 participants from various educational institutes were participated in the fest.
