Aligarh: The J.N. Medical College, Department of Radiotherapy, affiliated to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), will launch a new course namely M.D. Radiotherapy, soon.
As per sources, the department has been granted permission by the Medical Council of India (MCI) to start the programme. Initially, the progarmme will commence with an intake of one student per year.
Prof. Shahid Siddiqui, Chairman of Department of Radiotherapy said that the announcement regarding the launch of the course has been made by the MCI. He also mentioned that said that the MCI had inspected the Department on February 22, 2011, thereafter, it had granted permission of offering the MD in Radiotherapy.
In addition, Prof. Siddiqui has informed that this time the Department will be offering Diploma in Medical Radiography Technology (DMRT) course under radiotherapy.
