Calcutta University, Department of Physics, located in Kolkata (West Bengal), has invited applications for admission into Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) programme, to be offered in the ensuing session 2011. Admissions will be made on the basis of an entrance test scheduled to be held on the date mentioned below followed by an interview, to be held on March 9, 2011, from 11.00 am. UGC/CSIR (JRF)/NET/SET/SLET/GATE/Teacher Fellowship/M Phil/M Tech qualified candidates are exempted from the test.
