CBSE Schools Propose To Introduces Body Science Course

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has proposed the introduction of ‘Body Science’ as a vocational subject for classes XI and XII. The teacher for the subject needs to be a post-graduate in Physical Education.
 
According to a statement issues by CBSE Official it will provide job opportunities to students after passing Class XII. Besides, such courses will develop awareness for sports in the country. In addition, CBSE is also planning to introduce ‘Sports Journalism’ as a vocational subject soon.
 

According to the CBSE, Body Science will be offered to Class XI students from the next academic session in all the affiliated schools that have the minimum infrastructure - a gym. Moreover, the official informed that the schools opting for this course should have a gym within the school premises or should have such a facility nearby with, which they can tie up for practical lessons.
