Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2011 Scheduled to be Held on May 15

New Delhi: Common Law Admission Test 2011, popularly known as CLAT, is scheduled to be held on May 15, 2011. The entrance examination is being conducted for admission into Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programmes in the field of law. The programmes will be offered by the National Law Universities in the upcoming session 2011.
 
Candidates who have secured atleast 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/OBC category) in Senior Secondary Examination or equivalent are eligible to apply for the UG Law programme. On the other hand, applicants who possess LLB degree or have cleared equivalent examination with atleast 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/OBC category) are eligible to apply for PG Law programmes.
 
As per sources, candidates appearing for their qualifying examinations in March/April 2011 are also eligible to appear for the test. Candidates desirous to appear for the test can get the application form along with the information brochure from January 11, 2011, from the National Law Universities and post offices across India. Cost of the application form along with the information brochure is Rs 150, while the last date or sale and submission of application forms is April 2, 2011.
