Nagpur: Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (DMIMS) will conduct its second convocation ceremony tomorrow i.e. March 4, 2011. Dr. Vedprakash Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, DMIMS told the sources that in just five years, DMIMS has proved itself as a university and their only regret is not having a Forensic Science department yet.
As per sources, the university has Medical Science, Dental Science, Nursing Science and Ayurvedic Science departments so far. Further, sources told that seven gold medals will be awarded to Dr. Nidhi Mahendrakumar Singhaniya. Besides, Dr. Ketaki Shashank Desai will receive six gold medals, sources added.
In addition, sources informed that the convocation address will be delivered by Chief minister Prithviraj Chavan. The guest of honor will be Dr. Lalitha Mendis, President of Sri Lanka Medical Council. Vice-Chancellor of the university and MP Datta Meghe will lead the function, sources added.
