New Delhi: This year, the admission for M Tech courses at Delhi Technological University (DTU) concluded with a combined consideration of 80% GATE score and 20% interview. The University received 2,840 applications for its 17 M Tech. programme with a total intake of 359 seats. Compared to last year, there was a sharp increase of 40% of applicants.
List of the selected candidates is made available in the University's official website. Selected candidates are required to collect their admission letter from the head of the department. Also, candidates must deposit their fees from July 7 to 18, 2011. In case those selected candidates are unable to take admission by July 18, they will forfeit their right of admission. Besides, the vacant seats will be offered to candidates in the waiting list.
This year, the cut-off for M.Tech courses for various departments has been much higher. For M Tech in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems, the highest and lowest GATE cut-offs have been 99.41 and 98.14. Similarly, for Microwave and Optical Communication, the highest and lowest GATE cut-offs have been 99.77 and 98.07, respectively. For Signal Processing and Digital Design, the highest and lowest GATE cut-offs have been 99.56 and 98.54.
