Hyderabad: EThames Graduate School, which is one of London’s prominent colleges, commenced its India campus in Ameerpet area of Hyderabad, on Tuesday i.e. February 8, 2011. The first phase of the new campus will be started in October 2012.
The college was inaugurated by the Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Daggubati Purandeswari. The campus will offer study to the Indian student with British qualifications along with best teaching modes and modern classroom equipments.
Furthermore, EThames India will impart sandwich programmes, in which the students will study the first part of the course and enjoy the opportunity to spend one year at the one of EThames' campuses located in London in order to complete their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, which will be awarded by EThames' partner universities in Britain.
EThames is also establishing a nearly 200 acres of residential campus within the periphery of Hyderabad. The campus will offer study to 10,000 to 15,000 students. Speaking on the curriculum part of the campus, Veen Pula, chairman of EThames Educational Society, said Ethames India was primarily focusing on the UG and PG courses in the management field along with UG course in computer studies but now it also proposes courses in the disciplines of hospitality/tourism and healthcare.
