Himachal Pradesh (HP) University in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, has issued notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission into BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)/ BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery), offered in the ensuing session 2011. The admission will be made on the basis of entrance test conducted by the HP University. The BAMS course is being offered in Rajiv Gandhi Govt. Post- graduate Ayurvedic College, Paprola, Distt. Kangra, HP, whereas, the BHMS course is offered in Solan Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital Solan, HP.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may obtain the application form and prospectus by following any one of the methods given below:
By Cash: For prescribed application form and detailed information etc., the prospectus can be obtained at the University Examination Enquiry-cum-Sale Counter No.1, Library Building (Basement) Summer Hill, Shimla-5 and in Rajiv Gandhi Govt. Post- Graduate Ayurvedic College, Paprola, Distt. Kangra, HP during the working hours against a payment of Rs 1150 for General & other categories, and Rs 650 for SC/ST categories only.
By Post: The request for obtaining the prospectus by post should only be addressed to the Deputy Registrar(Entrance Tests) HP University, Shimla-171005 accompanied by crossed IPOs/Bank Draft amounting to Rs 1250 for General & other categories, and Rs 750 for SC/ST categories drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, H.P. University, Shimla-5. While applying for obtaining the prospectus by post, the candidate must write “Request for BAMS /BHMS Prospectus-2011” and also mention complete mailing address in “Capital Letters” along with the telephone/ Mobile number.
Thereafter, the duly filled application form must be addressed to the office of Deputy Registrar (Entrance Tests), Room No.10, Ground Floor, Administrative Block, HP University, Shimla-171005 latest by June 14, 2011 up to 5.00 pm.
