HRD Minister Inaugurates Web Portal for AICTE

New Delhi: On March 22, 2011, the Govt. takes a forward step towards the online progress of applications submitted to AICTE. Reportedly, Shri Kapil Sibal, the Union Minister for Human Resource Development, inaugurates a new web-based application for the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
 
This specialized web portal will provide all the information and data as filled in by the institutions to be available in the Public Domain. This effort is to promote transparency and answerability in the functioning of AICTE. By logging on to this website, interested stake holders can view the information pertaining to any institution in the Public Domain.
 
As per the sources, along with the online application, AICTE has also introduced SMS service. This service will keep the applicants updated about the status of their applications made under various categories to AICTE for approval. The key intention of this application is to make the progress of the application transparent, as it is processed for approval at AICTE.
