IIM Indore Introduces Integrated Course After Class 12

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) has introduced a five-year integrated programme in the field of management. The integrated programme will include three years of under graduation, followed by two years of post graduation. It will be started this year i.e. 2011, for the batch comprising of 120 students. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in an aptitude test and interview. The candidates should have at least 60% marks in aggregate in Class 12th, to be eligible for the interview. The institute will reveal the detailed eligibility criteria soon. As per sources, the tuition fee for the first three years of the integrated programme will be Rs 3 lakh per annum, while for the next two years, it will be Rs 5 lakh per year.
 
Through the integrated management programme, IIM Indore aims to impart a mix of all the essential skill subjects, which include mathematics, statistics, history, literature and political science, biological sciences, languages, finance and accounting, economics and information technology. The programme will be imparted through regular classroom lecturers. In addition to these lectures, IIM Indore also aims to provide international exposure and an internship at a social organization.
 

N Ravichandran, IIM-Indore Director, told sources that the institute aims to have a dominating presence in all the segments of management education, both in terms of size and impact. He said that the new programme will not dilute the brand value of IIMs; instead, it will strengthen it. He further added that the institute won’t compromise on the quality of any of its programmes.
