IIM’s Entry Being Questioned by Delhi HC

New Delhi: Delhi High Court (HC) has refused put a stay order to the admission procedure in Indian Institute of Management (IIMs). However, it sought replies from the Centre and the business schools to a plea seeking the eligibility criteria for CAT 2010.

As per sources, Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw issued notices to the human resources ministry along with 11 Indian Institutes of Management and directed them to file their replies by April 18.

Moreover, the HC passed the order on a batch of petitions filed by a group of IIM aspirants who claimed the institutes followed different criteria that confused applicants. Sources also say that some of the petitioners had been unable to secure admission in any of the IIMs in spite of scoring over 99 percentile in the 2010 entrance test.

The plea had sought a stay on the CAT 2010 examination and the entire admission process.
