Mumbai: Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay (IIT-Bombay) introduces a new Master’s Degree programme in Nuclear Engineering, this year. Initially, the programme will commence with an intake of eight students every year. Moreover, majority of them are expected to be under the sponsorship of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE).
Students will be enrolled jointly with the sponsors. After graduation, would join the respective sponsors' organizations. Rest of the students are likely to be employed with many of the renowned companies associated with the nuclear power, such as, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Reliance Energy, Walchand Technology Centre, etc. In addition, a few others are expected to pursue Doctoral Programme, both in India and abroad.
