Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), a constituent unit of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, has invited applications for All India Competitive Written Test, to be held in the ensuing session 2012. The test is scheduled to be held in two stages such as PMT- 2012 Screening and PMT - 2012 Main, on the date mentioned below for admission into the following Undergraduate (UG) medical programmes. Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of merit in both the entrance tests (for MBBS course only), followed by counseling, to be conducted by the University. However, the selection of the candidates for admission in to BDS / B Pharm / BAMS courses is done on the basis of the merit in PMT - 2012 Screening only.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can obtain the application form from the designated branches of Bank of Baroda (details available on the any of the official websites of IMS or BHU: http://www.imsbhu.nic.in/ or http://www.bhu.ac.in/) on cash payment of Rs 1500 (Rs 1000 for SC/ST candidates), latest by March 3, 2012. Candidates can also obtain the same through Speed / Registered post by sending a Demand Draft / Bankers Cheque (MICR only) of Rs 1600 (Rs 1100 for SC/ST candidates) of a Nationalized Bank drawn in favor of “The Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU”, payable at Varanasi.
The envelope containing the request for application form must be enclosed with the name & address of the candidate, details of the DD/Bankers Cheque (mentioning the name and address of the candidate on the reverse side) along with two self-addressed (preferably typed) white paper slips of 10 cm*6 cm size. The same envelope, superscribed with “Request for Application Form for PMT - 2012, BHU” should be reached the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi -221 005, on or before February 27, 2012.
The duly filled in application form along with all necessary enclosures (details available on the website) should be sent to the office of the Director (PMT Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi - 221 005, on or before March 15, 2012. Note: Candidates, requesting the application form through post must not send M.O./I.P.O./Cheques instead of DD/Bankers Cheque.
