New Delhi: The Centre for Rural & Cryogenic Technologies, Jadavpur University, will launch a new specialized course in financial planning. The newly launched programme namely Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (PGDFP) will be offered in collaboration with International College of Financial Planning (ICoFP), one of India’s premier institutes for careers in financial services.
The newly launched PGDFP programme will be a full time one-year course, which aims to prepare young graduates for a financial services career. Its thorough curriculum includes specialized subjects like Financial Planning, Risk Analysis, Insurance Planning, Tax Planning, Securities Research, Commodities Derivatives, Mutual Funds, Equity Derivatives etc. It also includes additional topics by Jadavpur University like Microfinance, Rural Banking, Microinsurance, Social Entrepreneurship etc.
After the successful completion of the programme students will be jointly certified by the two affiliates. Under this partnership ICoFP would impart job oriented education to forthcoming students under the supervision and guidance of Jadavpur University.
