JNTUK Inks Pact with Scotland University, MAS-GMR

Kakinada: The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) has signed a tripartite pact with the University of Highlands and Islands, Scotland and MAS-GMR. It is being signed with an aim to offer a four-year International Integrated Masters Degree Programme (IIMDP) in Aircrafts Maintaining Technology.
 
As per sources, the agreement was signed on Friday i.e. on May 13, 2011. JNTUK Vice Chancellor (VC) Allam Appa Rao has said that students who would pursue the course will have to attend classes for two years at JNTUK and the remaining two years at a foreign university.
 
Furthermore, Prof. Appa Rao saw the future of Hyderabad as an aircraft maintaining center. He also mentioned that the present course will offer qualitative and qualified manpower to the hub. Besides, sources have informed that Ajay Reddy of the GMR Foundation and Andrew Ray of the University of Highlands and Islands were present when the agreement was signed.
