New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU’s) Foreign Students' Association will organize an international food festival on January 26, 2011, in which students will prepare traditional dishes of their countries, for their classmates, faculty and public.
JNU’s foreign students will be celebrating the Republic Day with the flavor of their countries. Moreover, foreign dignitaries from different embassies in the city are also expected to visit the festival for its inauguration. Besides, cuisines from different countries, the festival promises international music too.
The festival is an annual affair which aims at strengthening friendship among students of different countries and spreading their cultures too. The festival will have food stalls by students from Germany, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sudan, and Uzbekistan, among others. According to FSA that comprises students from nearly 50 countries on the campus, the stalls will also be decorated with traditional items, posters and photographs.
