Surathkal: The eighth annual convocation at National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NIT Karnataka), Surathkal, is scheduled to be held on September 25, 2011, from 12.00 noon onwards. The announcement was made by NIT - Karnataka, Dean (Academic) Dr. Gopal Mugeraya, through a public notice, recently. The venue of the convocation will be the Silver Jubilee Auditorium of the Institute.
As per sources, Padma Vibhushan Prof. M. M. Sharma, Chairman BOG, IIT Madras, will grace the ceremony as chief guest. During the ceremony degree certificates will be awarded to all the students of B Tech, BE, M Tech, MCA, MBA, M Sc and Ph D programmes who did their graduation during the academic year 2009-10. Therefore, all students who graduated during the year 2009-10 are requested to register online on the Institute’s official website: http://www.nitk.ac.in/. The registration form will be made available shortly.
Candidates desirous to receive their degrees during the ceremony must note that physical presence of candidate is mandatory to receive the degree. Hence, candidates wishing to receive their degrees in person are advised to report on September 24, 2011 before 7.00 pm positively. Candidates reporting after the specified time will not be considered for receiving their degrees in the convocation.
