Bhubaneswar: Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar, Odisha, organized its 31st Convocation for UG and PG batch of the academic year 2009-10 and PhD in Agriculture batch of the academic year 2010-11, today i.e. December 17, 2011. The convocation was held in the Dr. M.S. Swaminathan Hall, 2nd Floor, University Building, OUAT, Bhubaneswar - 751 003.
As per sources, the convocation was glorified by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Odisha High Court, Sj. V. Gopala Gowda. He awarded certificates to the students of undergraduate and post graduate courses who successfully passed out in 2009-10 and PhD in Agriculture batch of 2010-11. To make the awardees comfortable on the convocation ceremony, the University arranged a special rehearsal session for the recipients of Gold medals and prizes prior to the celebration.
Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT), situated in the capital city of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, is one of the prestigious universities of the state. The University was founded in 1962 with only two Colleges of Agriculture and Veterinary Science, with the objective of providing qualitative science education.
