Chennai: Recently,SRM University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bosch Rexroth India Limited (BRIN) of Ahmedabad. The MoU was signed with in order to establish a joint Centre of Excellence in Automation Technologies with technical and financial participation by Bosch Rexroth.
As per sources, the MoU aims to bridge the technical gap between the Industry and Institute. It wants to create a platform for students to work and get trained on Industrial projects. In addition, the purpose of the MoU includes designing courses for students, which would meet curriculum requirements and organize training for students through trained faculty.
Besides, the major purpose was to address the Zonal requirement of training for the nearby Industries. According to a University release, the training offered under the MoU would enable SRM students to understand the working of various industrial automation processes.
