UPSC Civil Services (Main) Examination to Commence from October 29

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the dates for conducting the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2011. The exam will commence from October 29, 2011 and continue for the next 21 days. The agency conducts the examination to recruit entry-level candidates for various Civil Services of India. UPSC has already issued admission certificates to eligible candidates. Further, the agency has also mailed letters of rejection, clearly indicating the reasons for rejection, to non-eligible candidates. However, in case any applicant has not yet received any of the two communication letters, he/she is required to contact the UPSC Facilitation Counter, in person or on the below mentioned contact numbers.
 

The venue for the main examination can also be checked by logging onto the official website of UPSC: http://www.upsc.gov.in. The direct link for checking the timetable for the date and time of the examination is: www.upsc.gov.in/exams/time-tables/csm/2011/csm2011_ttable_eng.pdf. As an alternate, candidates can log onto the link http://www.upsc.gov.in/Query/csm/csm_venue_query.htm to know the venue of their examination. To check the exam venue, one must enter the roll number provided on the admit card and press the “Submit” button.
