Bhubaneswar: Utkal University is going to launch Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business and Finance programme. Professor Binayak Rath, Vice-Chancellor, Utkal University, told the sources that MBA in International Business and Finance course, the first in India, would be introduced in the university in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Export Organization (FIEO).
Further, Professor Rath informed that the course is to be studied in the commerce department. As per sources, duration of the programme would be two years, which is split into four semesters. The course would have 35 seats each with a fee of Rs one lakh, sources added. Professor Rath also informed that M Tech in computer science has also been introduced in the university.
Jayanta Kumar Parida, Dean, Commerce and Management Studies said that there is a growing demand of the Master in Finance Control (MFC) course that had a 100 percent placement this year. In addition, he said that while MBA and finance course would be taught by the university faculty, the practical in International Business would be taught by the FIEO.
