AIU Gives Approval to CBSE's International Curriculum

New Delhi: Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has given its approval for CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education)’s International (CBSE-i) curriculum in the current session 2012. CBSE-i was inducted as an international adaptation of CBSE’s regular curriculum from the academic session 2012-13.

As per sources, this approval will enable students passing out CBSE-i Standard XII board exams to take admissions in any bachelor's degree course. However, this approval was always considered a mere formality since CBSE is a government body functioning under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD Ministry).

The course is mainly designed for students who wish to study abroad after completing their Standard XII and its curriculum promises to provide a smooth transition for the students. However, while introducing the course, the Board had confirmed that even if students decide to continue studies in India, they will not have any issues with universities regarding recognition of the CBSE-i board exam.
