Burdwan: The next annual convocation ceremony of the University of Burdwan, also known as Burdwan University, West Bengal, is scheduled to be held on November 29, 2012 at 11.00 am onwards. The venue for the ceremony will be the University Auditorium at Golapbag, Burdwan. According to the notification issued by the University, students who passed M Phil / MBA / MLIS examinations in 2010 & 2011, MA / M Sc / M Com (both regular and external) examinations 2011, MCA / M Tech in ECE (Microwaves) examinations 2011 & 2012, and LLM / M Ed / MFA examinations in 2011 are eligible to attend the convocation.
In addition, students who passed BA / B Sc / B Com and Under-graduate vocational and professional courses examinations in 2011, BLIS / LLB Examinations in 2010 & 2011, B Ed (Sc) / B P Ed / Bachelor of Visual Art examinations 2011, Diploma in Visual Art (Craft & Design) examinations in 2011 and 2012, B Ed and BE Examinations 2011, Post-graduate Diploma in Bio-Informatics examination in 2009, Certificate courses in French / Russian 2011 & 2012, Certificate courses in German in 2012, Diploma courses in French / Russian in 2011 & 2012, and Advanced Diploma in French in 2011, will also be awarded degrees / diplomas / certificates at the Convocation.
However, such students need not attend the convocation and can collect their scrolls of the Degrees / Diplomas / Certificates from the concerned colleges / Departments of the University. Besides, medalists of 2010 and 2011 examinations (which ever is applicable) and BA / B Sc / B Com examinations 2011 and PhD Degree awardees up to 15th November, 2012 will be eligible to attend the Convocation. All those students who intend to attend the convocation ceremony should send their applications (in the format given on the website: http://www.buruniv.ac.in/) to the Registrar, latest by November 16, 2012.
