Department of Chemistry, University of Calcutta, also known as Calcutta University, West Bengal, has invited application from eligible candidates for admission to the PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) programme of the department, to be offered in the ensuing academic session 2012. Admission will be made on the basis of candidates' performance in the written test, followed by interview, to be conducted by the University.
Note: Candidates who have already cleared the NET / SET / SLET / GATE / Teacher Fellowship / equivalent examination, or passed the M Phil / M Tech / equivalent examination, need to appear at the interview directly, skipping the written test.
Date of Exam
Written examination is scheduled to be held on February 3, 2012 at 12.00 noon. The interview / counseling of successful candidates will be held on the same date at 3.00 pm.
