Calcutta University, Department of Botany, Kolkata, West Bengal, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) programme in Botany, to be offered in the ensuing session 2012. Admission will be made on the basis of RET (Research Eligibility Test), followed by an interview, scheduled to be held on the below mentioned date.
Note: Candidates who have cleared NET / SET / SLET / GATE / Teacher Fellowship or having M Phil / M Tech / M Pharm degree are exempted from the entrance test. However, they will have to appear in the personal interview.
Date of Exam
RET will be conducted on April 27, 2012 from 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm
Interview of selected candidates will be held on May 11, 2012

How to Apply
Interested candidates can download the application form from the official website of the University: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/. The duly filled-in application form, complete in all respect, should be submitted to the Head of the Department of Botany, Calcutta University on or before the last date of application. Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100 either in cash or through DD at the cash section of the University latest by April 19, 2012.
