University of Calcutta, also known as Calcutta University, West Bengal, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) programme in Hindi, to be offered in the upcoming session 2012. Admission will be made on the basis of candidates' performance in the entrance test, followed by personal interview, to be conducted by the University.
Note: Candidates who have already passed JRF / NET / SET or equivalent or passed M Phil need not appear for the admission test but they are required to appear for the interview, to be conducted by the University.

Interested candidates should apply in the prescribed application format made available on the University’s official website: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/. The application fee is Rs 100 which is to be paid through a Challan obtainable from the University. The duly filled in application form, along with all requisite documents (details given on the website), should be submitted to the 87/1, College Street Campus, University of Calcutta, Kolkata - 700073, latest by March 2, 2012.
