Calcutta University Postpones Admission Test for MA Course in Journalism & Mass Comm 2012

Kolkata: Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Calcutta, also known as Calcutta University, West Bengal, has postponed the admission test date to September 1, 2012, for admission into MA (Master of Arts) course in Journalism & Mass Communication, to be offered in the session 2012. Earlier, the written admission test was scheduled to be held on August 12, 2012.
 
As per the notification issued by the University, the test centre will remain the same i.e. Asutosh Building, Calcutta University, College Street Campus. All those candidates, who have applied for admission to the course are notified that admission will be made through direct admission (on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam) as well as on the basis of candidate's performance in the written admission test.
 
Interested candidates may obtain the prescribed application forms (for all categories) from the University Sales Counter, College Street Campus, Kolkata-73 (between 11 am and 3 pm). However, eligible candidates may obtain the application forms for selection through the written admission test on payment of Rs 400, whereas for Honours Graduates in Journalism and Mass Communication who are eligible for Direct Admission, as stated above, may obtain prescribed Application Forms on payment of Rs 50 (Rupees Fifty only) on production of Honours Part III mark sheet.

The duly filled-in applications (for all categories) along with requisite enclosures (detailed list given on the website: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/) should be submitted to the office of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, latest by August 8, 2012.
