Lucknow: Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU), Uttar Pradesh, has announced counseling for AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination) - 2012 and CMAT (Common Management Admission Test conducted by AICTE) - 2012 quota admissions. The counseling notification has been made available on the University’s official website: http://www.uptu.ac.in/. As per the admission guidelines, the State Government has permitted 20% of the sanctioned seats available in private engineering institutions to be filled on the basis of AIEEE - 2012 and CMAT - 2012 merit for admission to first year of B Tech (Bachelor of Technology) / B Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) and MBA (Master of Business Administration) courses.
Of the total seats, 10% seats will be filled by UP domicile candidates on UP State Rank using UP reservation policy and the remaining 10% seats will be filled by all India candidates without reservation, subject to eligibility conditions as specified in UPSEE-2012 brochure (candidates can view the information brochure available online on http://www.upsee.nic.in/). Only such candidates who have secured total marks higher than cut off marks declared by AIEEE - 2012 and CMAT - 2012, in the respective categories, are eligible to apply for admission through the ensuing counseling.
The candidates, declared successful by the respective authority who conducted AIEEE-2012 / CMAT-2012, are required to apply online by filling in the online application forms, through the website http://www.upsee.nic.in/. The schedule for online application & counseling is as follows:
Application: June 28, 2012 to July 2, 2012
Counseling: July 5 & 6, 2012
On the day of counseling, it is mandatory for the candidates to bring in the duly signed completed confirmation page (obtained after successfully submitting the online application) with affixed photograph at the allotted counseling centre mentioned on the confirmation page, along with other required documents and two separate DDs of Rs 500 & Rs 5000 each. The DD should be drawn in favour of “Finance Officer, Gautam Buddh Technical University”, payable at Lucknow, at the time of counseling.
